Enrichment Opportunities
International OptionsOverseas studies, international internships, and commerce and culture-oriented foreign languages add significant value to your global perspectives. You can take advantage of any of the programs offered below to maximize your marketability. In addition, you are encouraged to avail of the numerous scholarships available on campus. Reciprocal Exchange Programs: Through these programs you could spend a semester or two overseas with one of our 15 exchange partner institutions. These programs will offer you complete “immersion” into overseas academic environment and culture. You will attend classes with local students, and in most cases you could take all the business courses in English. When you participate in a semester-long exchange program, you will register for courses at Mays Business School (and also pay tuition and required fees at TAMU) and will be exempt from paying tuition and fees to the overseas institution. Study Abroad Programs: Several summer programs are sponsored by MBS jointly with some of our partner institutions overseas who offer international business management courses. Although you will be studying in a foreign environment, most often you will be taking classes with other Aggies or graduate students from other American or non-American business schools. Each summer study abroad program is generally of three to six weeks duration and the credits earned will depend on program length (3 credit hours for the three-week program and 6 credit hours for the 5-6 week program). You will want to participate in study abroad programs during the summer between the first and second year of the MBA program. International Internships: MBA students can explore international internship opportunities through the MBS Career Center office or by identifying appropriate international internship opportunities listed on the Center for International Business website and following up on your own. Foreign Language Courses: The Center for International Business Studies at MBS in coordination with the Department of Modern and Classical Languages offers several credit and non-credit foreign language courses for business students. These include: Non-credit Courses
