From the Office of Suzanne
Drolsekey Executive Director, International Student Activities Dear New Reciprocal Exchange Student: We wish to congratulate you and welcome you to Texas A&M University and to THE RECIPROCAL EXCHANGE PROGRAM! You are about to embark on a true adventure, not only in a new educational system, but in Aggie and Texas culture. We truly believe this will be a memorable and enriching experience for you. We are sure there are many questions you probably would like to have answered to better prepare yourself; so, in this handbook, we hope to cover information on such subjects as travel, housing, insurance, arrival date, exchange program guidelines, immunization requirements, Aggie life, etc. As you read the materials, you will find that some of the university information does not match information in other A&M publications. You must remember that you are here on a special reciprocal exchange program; therefore, some information has been changed to meet the requirements of the reciprocal exchange program. Please go by the information that we provide for you. If we fail to answer all of your questions, please feel free to communicate with our Study Abroad staff at any time.We want you to have the best possible experience here at TAMU that you can possibly have. I feel the best way to achieve this is to inform you as much as possible, at this time, about your stay at Texas A&M University. One last note! If you are arriving in Texas during August, be aware that it is one of our hottest months of the year, so expect very, very hot and humid weather. Dress accordingly, and remember, it will get cooler in October. Bring a heavy coat and remember spring weather may arrive in March. Again, congratulations! We look forward to your arrival and to hearing from you concerning your arrival time. Click here for EXCHANGE STUDENT HANDBOOK. Sincerely, Suzanne Droleskey |
