Stanford A. Weiner & Brian L. Weiner ’65 Endowment Fund for North American Business Studies

images/weiner4.jpg - 23287 Bytes   The Stanford A. Weiner and Brian L. Weiner ’65 Endowment Fund for North American Business Studies was established in 1994 to support international business programs conducted by the Center for International Business Studies at Texas A&M University. “My contribution is based on two factors, said Weiner, CEO of Periodical Management Group in San Antonio. “The first is to support my alma mater, which has remained in important part of my life. Secondly, as business becomes more global, universities need to prepare students to compete with other nations around the world.”

Income from the endowment supports study abroad and internship opportunities in the Western Hemisphere for students enrolled in the Mays College and Graduate School of Business at Texas A&M University.

Brian Landau Weiner is Chief Executive Officer for PMG International, Ltd., the parent company of Distribution Center located in San Antonio, Atlanta, Miami, the Caribbean, and the Republic of Mexico and South America, head quartered in San San Antonio, Texas. He is also a general partner in S&B Properties, Investment Properties, Ltd., a real estate investment company, and a ranch owner in Tarpley Texas. Past work experience includes serving as a marketing specialist for the Texas Department of Agriculture.

Mr. Weiner serves on the board of the Center for International Business Studies at Texas A&M University, Trinity University Associates, the 12th Man Foundation of Texas A&M University, University of the Incarnate Word, San Antonio World Trade Association, World Affairs Council, A&M Library Foundation, Free Trade Alliance of San Antonio and the United Way.

Other civic activities include membership in the World Affairs Council, the Greater San Antonio Chamber of Commerce, the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and the Rotary Club of San Antonio.

Mr. Weiner received his B.S. degree in Agriculture and Economics from Texas A&M University. Photo above is Mr. and Mrs. Brian L. Weiner and Mr. and Mrs. Stanford A. Weiner taken at a dinner given in their honor.
