Raymond R. Hannigan, Jr. ’61 Endowed Overseas Study Scholarship Fund

images/Hannigan.jpg - 12265 Bytes   The Raymond R. Hannigan, Jr. '61 Endowed Overseas Study Scholarship Fund was established in 1998 to fund overseas study scholarships for students in good standing pursuing a degree in the Mays Business School at Texas A&M University.

Raymond Hannigan is the former President and chief Executive Officer of Kinetic Concepts Inc. (KCI) in San Antonio, Texas. Hannigan joined KCI in November 1994. Prior to that time he was President of the International Division of Sterling Winthrop Consumer Health Group in New York City. Sterling Winthrop was a wholly owned pharmaceutical subsidiary of Eastman Kodak Company. Hannigan has worked in the health care and pharmaceutical industries for over 16 years, both with Sterling Winthrop as well as SmithKline Beecham. He has extensive US experience together with over 20 years of international responsibilities and has resided in nine different countries.

In 1997, he was named a Distinguished Alumnus of the Mays Business School. He is currently an Advisory Council Member on International Programs with the College of Business Administration at Texas A&M, Board member and Secretary of the Texas Health Care and Bioscience Institute and a Trustee of the Southwest Research Foundation. Hannigan has provided Texas A&M with two President's Endowed Scholarships as well as and Endowed 12th Man Foundation Scholarship. He is a member of the Club at Sonterra and Club Giraud in San Antonio.

Hannigan is native of Galveston, Texas, and an honors graduate of Texas A&M University. He attended graduate school at the University of Texas and also completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School.
