TEXAS A&M UNIVERSITY
The Texas A&M University Center for International Business Education and Research (TAMU CIBER) is the lead organizer and sponsor for the conference. The TAMU CIBER is housed in the Mays Business School Center for International Business Studies (CIBS). Mays is one of the nations largest and most highly ranked business schools and Texas A&M--with more than 46,000 students--is one of the largest and most prestigious universities. Both are highly regarded for the breadth and quality of their educational programs.

U.S. DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION CIBERS
The TAMU CIBER is one of 31 federally-funded Centers selected by a competitive review process and administered by the U.S. Department of Education. CIBERs serve as national resources in international business education, research, and outreach. Sponsoring and organizing educational forums on issues on vital public policy and business significance is an important part of the CIBER mandate, and CIBERs frequently combine their resources to collaborate in such efforts. Eleven other CIBERs have joined the TAMU CIBER as conference sponsors--the CIBERs at: Brigham Young University, Michigan State University, Purdue University, University of Colorado-Denver, University of Maryland, University of Memphis, University of Michigan, University of Pennsylvania, University of Texas-Austin, University of Washington, and University of Wisconsin.

EXPORT DEVELOPMENT CANADA
Export Development Canada is a Crown Corporation that provides financing and risk management services to Canadian exporters and investors in up to 200 markets worldwide. The EDC mandate is to support and develop Canada's export trade and Canadian capacity to engage in that trade and to respond to international business opportunities. To fulfill this mandate, EDC provides trade finance and risk mitigation services to Canadian companies involved in export trade. EDC's public role is to provide the support exporters need to succeed in their chosen markets, complementing the programs and services of commercial banks. EDC's commercial role is to operate like a business, collecting interest on loans and premiums for our insurance. This allows EDC to be financially self-sufficient, in contrast to other ECAs that rely on government subsidies.
