Why intern abroad?

Internships abroad are highly valued for several reasons:

  1. They offer deeper cultural immersion and the experience of working with professionals in an international city
  2. They offer intensive practical language training and an opportunity to apply lessons learned in the classroom to life outside
  3. They offer lessons learned in the business arena to apply to the classroom environment
  4. They provide valuable international work experience

The willingness of a faculty member to facilitate such an experience is greatly appreciated. However, bringing an opportunity for such international experience into reality may result in challenges for the student and/or faculty member.
