April 2011 - TAMU's President, Dr. Loftin, in support of President Barack Obama's "100,000 Strong Initiative", announces he would like to double the number of Aggies studying in China by 2014!  In Spring of 2011, TAMU sends approximately 60 students to China to study each year.  In 2011, Mays Business School sent 22 undergraduate students to Beijing, China on the faculty-led 2011 Mays China Business Study Abroad Program AND 16 Mays MBA/MS students to Peking, China.

August 2011 - Dr. Kerry Cooper retires from Texas A&M University and the Center for International Business Studies.  Dr. Julian Gaspar is appointed as Executive Director for the Center effective 9/1/11.

January 2010 - TAMU Student organization "Global Business Brigades" goes to Panama

April 2010 - Mays students led by 'Jon Jasperson' (INFO/CMIS) placed 2nd runner up at the APEX Global IT Challenge in Singapore
